Portland Bill and Pulpit Rock

Portland walks
Jutting out into the English Channel at the centre of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site, this is a very special place for wildlife and geology.
Follow a short circular walk along the west and east cliff tops and across the extensive common lands. Discover Pulpit Rock, the remains of a natural rock arch and a blow hole, created by the roof of a sea cave collapsing.
Look out to sea across the shambles bank and tidal race, a wild scene particularly in stormy weather and spot sea birds and bottlenose dolphins.
