5 mins walk from house. Good atmosphere with the most spectacular views Portland can offer. Recommend to make a booking before you go if looking for food. Live folk music every Thursday night.

Quiddles Cafe (best place for breakfast)
5 mins walk from house. Beach Cafe and Sunset Bar situated on the iconic Chesil Beach. Recommend to book a place before you go if looking for food. The cafe does not open all year round, best check before you go.

Fish & Chips
We are lucky to have 2 good fish & chips nearby. Chesil Chippie and Salty Towers. Both about 5 mins walk.

The Beehive Portland (Good Coffee)
Best coffee in Portland and best sausage roll, try hot chocolate too! Get a seat upstair, good view up there. 8 mins walk from house.

The Pebble Pig Cafe at Chesil Beach Visitor Centre (Our favourite)
Located inside Chesil Beach Visitor Centre, small menu but serve good coffee good food and honestly best salad selections, our favourite cafe to go.

The Little Ship Portland
Big backyard for those sunny days. 5 mins walk from house. They also have a pool and skittle alley inside the pub – my kid love the skittle alley!

Salt at Portland Marina
Restaurant with veiw of Portland Marina, good food and interesting menu. Also, we love a relaxing walk around Portland Marina too.

Jail House Cafe
Fancy a trip to the prison HMP TheVerne? Well you cant go inside the jail but you can visit the cafe. They have 2 cafes on the island. One located inside HM Prison The Verne. Run by Expia, a charitable company, staffed by risk assessed prisoners on day release. They have had hundreds of prisoners placed at the Jailhouse Café since it started in November 2011.

Crab House Cafe
Crab House Cafe have their own Portland Oyster beds just a stones throw from the restaurant so you can enjoy fresh Oysters on your table within minutes of them leaving the water! Booking recommended

A beach bar with good view. It does not open all year round, best check before you go.

The George Inn
It is a Grade II-listed 18th-century public. I love visit this handsome old building, lost of character inside, food lovely too. Offer live music some nights.

Upwey Wishing Well, Water Gardens and Tea Rooms (Must go on sunny day)
Must visit this cafe, you are sitting inside the tropical water garden and is surrounded by the nature while eating their delicious food and cakes. Make sure its a sunny day so you can sit outside.

Eight Kings
Friendly local bar serve delicious home cooked food.
